Medical examination appointments are arranged by the Receptionist after consultation with the appropriate Doctor. It is important to indicate the type of medical you require so that the required amount of time is allocated to the appointment. The insurance company concerned generally pays fees for insurance medicals but other services listed are normally paid directly by the patient. Costs for these services are available from Reception.Aviation Medicals – these medical [done on behalf of the CAA] are JAR Class 2 only. If you attend for a medical it is essential to follow the following advice…….
- Bring photo identification ie passport or photo driving licence.
- If you wear glasses – bring a current [within 6 months] glasses prescription from your optician.
- If you wear contact lens – bring a current [within 6 months] glasses and lens prescription and a letter of “satisfactory wear” from your optician – wear your contact lens first – after testing you will be asked to remove them and wear glasses – this allows both methods of refraction to be tested.
